February 2017
Times are set in EST. V/C means the moon is void of course and it is in between signs. It is not the best time to make plans because they rarely turn out as planned.
Wednesday February 1st 2017:
Thursday Feb 2nd: Moon v/c at 11:50am. Moon enters Taurus at 8:50pm. Happy Imbolc and Groundhog Day.
Friday Feb 3rd: Venus enters Aries at 10:51am. Second quarter of the moon begins at 11:19pm.
Saturday Feb 4th: Moon v/c at 5:42pm. Moon enters Gemini at 11:44pm.
Sunday Feb 5th:
Monday Feb 6th: Jupiter goes retrograde at 1:52. It will remain retrograde until June 9th 2017. Moon v/c at 5:53pm. Whenever Jupiter is retrograde it isn't a great time to start a new endeavor. Reflect on your ongoing projects. Slow down and look over everything. When things aren't flowing right, you might want to reconsider. If changes need to be made, make them now. Jupiter is our planet of fortune, luck, and spirituality. During a Jupiter retrograde we have to work a little harder to achieve these things. Jupiter retrograde is more spiritual and philosophical so it is a time to explore philosophies.
Tuesday Feb 7th: Moon enters Cancer at 2:03am. Mercury enters Aquarius at 4:35am.
Wednesday Feb 8th: Moon v/c at 5:00pm.
Thursday Feb 9th: Moon enters Leo at 4:41am.
Friday Feb 10th: Full Moon in Leo at 7:33pm (EST). Lunar eclipse at 7:44pm. Leo moons are great for self focus, creativity and self expression. Get in touch with your personal needs and your true intentions. Leo rules children. Spend one on one time with your children (or nieces/nephews/grandchildren/cousins) and your inner child. Step away from your phone, computer. Turn off the tv and enjoy each other’s company. Explore your imagination, play pretend, go out into nature, join mommy (or daddy) and me class. Just be sure to pay attention to your inner child. Get dramatic in a healthy way and just express yourself. Don’t let ego get in your way. We must let go of our old self image and ego to give our true and current self room for growth. Holding on to that old image is only restricting yourself. Leo also rules romance. Go out on a date and have a good time. Leo loves a good time. There are some great harmonious aspects happening during this full moon/lunar eclipse and only a couple ones that may cause tension. The positive should outweigh any negative energy. The Sun and the Moon are at opposites as well as Jupiter and Uranus. These aspects can create a feeling of personal and emotional conflict. They increase your need for freedom, which can cause you to rebel against anyone or anything that restricts you from doing what you want. It is possible that you might not experience very much tension or any at all because some of the positive aspects will offer you the freedom that is desired. Some things to expect from all the great energy flowing between the Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus are: Happiness, Fun, Freedom, Personal and Spiritual Growth, Good Fortune, Financial Gains, Promotions, Career Opportunities and Generosity, Traveling for business and/or pleasure. Exciting changes will happen and you’ll have the patience and emotional strength to get through what you need after all the crazy stuff 2016 brought on. Look forward to positive changes. This moon is perfect for social gathering, hanging out with new and old friends and trying new things. Lunar eclipses bring changes, sometimes unexpected. They force us out of our comfort zones. People can experience several mood swings under a lunar eclipse. All eclipses are a powerful force. The energy from this lunar eclipse will remain active until the August lunar eclipse. I personally think these are great aspects to have during an eclipse since they can bring on sudden and unexpected changes. Anyone with personal planets in Leo will feel this moon/eclipse more intensely.

Saturday 18th: Sun enters Pisces at 6:31am. Moon enters Sagittarius at 1:52pm. Fourth quarter of the moon begins at 2:33pm. Celtic Tree Month of Ash begins.
Ash - The Enchanter
February 18 - March 17
Those born under the Celtic tree astrology sign of the Ash are free thinkers. Imaginative, intuitive, and naturally artistic, you see the world in water-color purity. You have a tendency to moody and withdrawn at times, but that's only because your inner landscape is in constant motion. You are in touch with your muse, and you are easily inspired by nature. Likewise, you inspire all that you associate with and people seek you out for your enchanting personality. Art, writing (especially poetry), science, and theology (spiritual matters) are areas that strongly interest you. Others may think you are reclusive, but in all honesty, you are simply immersed in your own world of fantastic vision and design. You are in a constant state of self-renewaland you rarely place a value on what others think about you. Ash signs partner well with Willow and Reed signs.
Celtic Ash Tree Meaning
Not only was its girth tremendous, its height was towering. Some ash trees are known to soar over 200 feet tall. Such incredible growth owes credit to a fantastic root system.
It's mass, height, and deeply imbedded roots were all metaphors for the spiritually minded Celts (and us too). The ash speaks to us of growth, expansion, and higher perspective. If we think symbolically as the ancient Celts were apt to do, we can liken our own soul-growth with that of the ash. With greater (higher) attainment, the more we need to stay grounded (well rooted).
This concept falls right in line with the mystic message of the ash. Indeed, certain druid accounts indicate the realm between earth and sky were connected or held together by the mighty ash.
Although it is associated with the element of air, the ash is also akin to the fire element for its amazing burning qualities. The wood of the ash burns with intense heat, even when green. This surfaced ideas of resurrection and renewal for the Celts.
The ash was commonly used for protective rituals because it was believed that helpful energies were contained within its great body. Specifically, the ash was thought to be the guardian of children, and was often used as a healing agent for childhood illnesses.
Its association with children may come from creation myths within Celtic lore. In some accounts the ash was considered the cradle of life, so too was it considered a gentle giant and a protector of youth.
